Averbode is een blond abdijbier dat gedryhopped is en met nagisting op fles.Het heeft een goudgele kleur met een fijne schuimkraag. Met geurige aroma's van bloemen, groene appels, zoetigheid en hop. Door de vier soorten hop komt er een hoppige smaak naar voren. Het palet is volmondig, moutzoetig en met een aangenaam hopkarakter. De afdronk is fris, vol en bitter.

Strong, Blond, Belgian. 8.5% Vol. CORNET is a blond Belgian beer with a unique taste: powerful yet soft, thanks to the addition of oak wood chips during the brewing process.

The allusion to pink elephants and the choice of names is not due to chance. With a particular character, the unique taste results from triple fermentation and the use of three different yeast strains. Sweet, biscuit malt backbone, supported by pleasant warmth and spice, finishes well rounded, floral, and dry. Color and Sight: Pale blond, the fine and regular sparkle creates a nice, stable foam head. Scent: Slightly malty, heavy touch of alcohol, spicy. Taste: A good shot of alcohol ignites in the mouth, as it were, which really warms the tongue and palate. The taste is also characterized by its roundness. The finish is strong, long and dry bitter.

Duvel is a natural beer with a subtle bitterness, a refined flavour and a distinctive hop character. The unique brewing process, which takes about 90 days, guarantees a pure character, delicate effervescence and a pleasant sweet taste of alcohol. Apart from pure spring water, which is the main ingredient of beer, barley is the most important raw material. Barley must germinate for five days in the malt house, after which malt remains. The colour of the malt and as a consequence also of the beer is determined by the temperature. Duvel obtains its typical bitterness by adding various varieties of aromatic Slovenian and Czech hops. We use only exclusive hops that are renowned for their constant, outstanding quality. Duvel ferments for the first time in tanks at 20 to 26°C. The brewer uses his own culture for this. The original yeast strain, which Victor Moortgat himself selected in the 1920’s, originates from Scotland. After maturing in storage tanks in which the beer is cooled down to -2°C, the drink is ready for bottling. Thanks to the addition of extra sugars and yeast, the beer ferments again in the bottle. This occurs in warm cellars (24°C) and takes two weeks. Then the beer is moved to cold cellars, where it continues to mature and stabilise for a further six weeks. This extra long maturation period is unique and contributes to the refined flavour and pure taste of Duvel.

Brewery Het Anker decided to brew an easy drinkable city beer for the Mechelenians, still peppy enough in order to enjoy it to the fullest. We brew a heroic beer called Maneblusser. It’s a blond beer with an alcohol percentage of 6.2% vol. in which you can taste a subtle citrus aroma and a fine finish. Maneblusser is brewed according to the traditional method of high fermentation with refermentation in the bottle. The inspiration for this brew originates in the night of January 27th in the year 1687. The moon projected its reddish glow on Saint Rumbold’s tower, which was wrapped in a dense fog. “Fire, fire, the tower is on fire!” shouts the dreary voice of a drunken man. The alarm was sounded and people were making haste to help extinguish the so-called fire. Before the tower was reached, the moon slowly moved through the fog. From that moment on, the Mechelenians are called the Maneblussers or “Moonextinguishers”.

Sint-Gummarus Double is the younger brother of Sint-Gummarus Triple, so to speak. This high-fermentation beer boasts a spicy aroma and aftertaste. Refermented in the bottle, and with an alcohol content of 7.1%, it is a pure, traditional double beer.

Corsendonk Pater Dubbel is a soft and top-fermented dark beer, refermented and aged in bottle to a lively sparkling beer with rich foam. This beer has caramelized malt on the nose with hints of ripe fruit. Mild on the palate with wellbalanced bitterness, hints of fruit, toasted bread, liquorice, coffee and caramel.

De Gouverneur Dubbel is een ongefilterd fluweelzacht en bitterzoet bier met karakter. Het gebruik van Tettnangerhop en gebrande karamelkleurige mout zorgt voor een diepe robijnrode kleur en unieke volle smaak. Gebrouwen met traditionele lange lagering, zorgvuldig geselecteerde natuurlijke ingrediënten en kristalzuiver water uit eigen bron.

Colour and appearance: red amber, very dense fine white head. Fragrance: spicy, citrus, grapefruit, a hint of caramel in the nose. Flavour: full-bodied, intense and a touch of caramel. Together with the spicy, citrus-like bitterness, they give this beer a complex and very pleasant fresh, full and bitter aftertaste. History: specialty beer created to celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of Delirium Tremens.

Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor completes the taste pallet of our Carolus beers. “Hopsinjoor” derived from “Opsinjoor”, the typical character of Mechelen and also because of the use of 5 different kinds of hops. These hops are fractioned at a different time during the cooking process in order to conserve a maximum of aroma. Concerning the taste, the Ale has a gentle taste with a slightly bitter finish. Gouden Carolus Hopsinjoor was launched in 2008 on the Zythos Beer Festival and hit the mark: the visitors elected it as best beer, bringing Het Anker “The Consumer’s trophy Zythos Beer Festival 2008”. The beer is bottled unfiltered in order to preserve the bitterness of the hop as much as possible.

A strong and gluten-free IPA. This variant has been made with mosaic hops and has a pronounced mix of piney, tropical and citrussy hoppy aroma's.

The Green Killer IPA (India Pale Ale) is a well-hopped beer with quite a high rating on the bitterness scale. Its powerful aromas include touches of citrus and spice. In the rather dry finish, the malt comes to the fore beautifully.

Jopen Northsea IPA is an IPA (India Pale Ale) or, in old Dutch, a ‘Duraebel Scheepsbier’. These beers were extra strongly brewed and extra hopped so that they could be taken along on the long sea voyages to the Dutch East Indies (current-day Indonesia). Nowadays this type of beer is making a comeback because American brewers have breathed new life into this brewing style. This hoppy amber beer is named after the lake between the towns of Spaarndam and Haarlem, the Mooie Nel (literally: Beautiful Nel). The beer has received an extra hop addition to the tank after fermentation to give it a clear hop character. Silver medal winner Brussels beer Challenge 2014.

Sometimes, one trick is all it takes. And this pony pulls it off. One Trick Pony is a cold‑fermented Cold IPA that plays it straight: crisp, clean and direct… but with a touch more body than usual, enough to make a lasting impression. It was born from a three‑way collaboration between Basqueland, Fermentis and Mr. Malt®, which allowed us to experiment with their new yeast SafLager™ SH-45, designed to enhance thiol formation and take the aroma one step further. Pilsner and Carahell malts, together with rice flakes, keep the beer balanced and precise. On the nose, expect intense, juicy notes of gummy bears, guava, passion fruit and grape. On the palate, it opens fresh, with a slightly more structured texture and a dry, clean finish that makes you want to go for another round.

Deze heldere Double IPA is wat strakker (droger) en bitterder dan tegenwoordig veel voorkomend, maar wel met een vrien- delijke fruitigheid, en is daarmee een eer- betoon aan de moderne West Coast IPA. We zullen deze collab brouwen met een nieuwe hopsoort om daarmee weer een nieuwe smaak aan het pallet toe te voegen. Onze collab partner is Nøgne Ø uit Noorwegen. Ze zijn vooral heel bekend om hun zware donkere stouts, maar ze brouwen ook veel IPA’s.

De intense amberkleur is te danken aan een speciaal geselecteerde donkere mout. Betty Ford bier is vernoemd naar Betty Ford, de voormalige First Lady van de Verenigde Staten, en draagt daarmee een historische en culturele verwijzing naar de Betty Ford Clinic. Het bier zelf is een eerbetoon maar verwijst vooral als gimmick naar het lage alcoholgehalte in het Wilderen portfolio.

Black Albert mixed with Elliot Brew, aged in bourbon barrels. This mixture of a Russian imperial stout and an IPA results in a so-called black & tan. The acronym stands for Supreme Hoppy Intensive Taste."

Also occasionally available in cask-conditioned form at 5% ABV.

Color and Sight: Dark Chocolate Brown with a compact foam, white-yellow, stable and creamy. Odor Touches of caramel, mocca and chocolate. Spices such as licorice and coriander are also present. Taste: Initially a very pleasant sensation in the mouth of alcohol and softness. It is followed by a growing bitterness, which comes partly from hops, but also from roasted malt and chocolate malt. Towards the end, pleasant balance between bitter, sour and sweet notes.

Gouden Carolus Ambrio is aromatically brewed according to the ancient recipe of the Mechelschen Bruynen. Ambrio is an 'amber' ale brewed with 'brio'. This white beer of high fermentation finds its origin in the traditional beer of the city of Mechelen. As each city had its own typical beer, the Mechelenians drunk their amber beer: "Mechelschen Bruynen" for hundreds of years. Our brewery is the only brewery that still brews this type of beer. According to the tradition the basic recipe of this beer dates from 1421 and is therefore the oldest beer from the brewery. The current version is slightly heavier than the original and finer hopped. The balance between the different malts, the fine hops and typical aromas with herbs ensure that this beer combines the whole-hearted nature of brown beers with the freshness of blonde beers. This flavored and spicy light brown tasting beer should be served fairly fresh. Refermentation in the bottle.

Gouden Carolus Classic, the ‘Grand Imperial Beer’ from Mechelen, is brewed with dark, very balanced dosed caramel and aromatic malts. This unique beer combines the warmth of wine and the freshness of beer. This makes it very suitable in combination with culinary specialties such as stews, pâtés, ripened or strong cheeses. Brewed with well water (the original well at the Old Brewery, sunk in 1758, is still in use, with the hard well water being drawn from 85 feet underground); best barley malt, yeast and aromatic hops; fermented in 'stone Yorkshire squares' to create a relatively dry ale with rich nutty colour and plate of beech nuts, almonds and walnuts.

A Northern German (Friesian) Pilsener that is characteristic of the style. It is a little more hoppy than Czech pilseners giving it a more bitter ("herb" in German) flavour.

Im Herzen des Hochschwarzwalds wurde in Rothaus einst ein Bier gebraut, das selbst an der Tafel des Großherzogs Friedrich I. von Baden serviert wurde. Die Badische Staatsbrauerei Rothaus AG, gegründet 1791, war schon damals für ihre Reinheit und Braukunst bekannt. Als der Großherzog seine Gäste empfing, wurde das Rothaus Tafelbier gereicht – ein helles Lager, wie es zu jener Zeit üblich war: mild, süffig und erfrischend, mit feinem Hopfenaroma und einer sanften Malzsüße. Es war ein Bier, das nicht dominierte, sondern als stiller Begleiter die Freude an Speisen, Gesprächen und besonderen Momenten vollendete. Ob beim Essen mit Freunden, in geselliger Runde oder in einem Moment der Ruhe nur für sich – das Tannenzäpfle Tafelbier bringt ein Stück badische Geschichte zurück auf den Tisch. Dit jaar vieren we onze 11e verjaardag. Voor deze gelegenheid hebben we dit jaar een imperial stout gemaakt met een passend alcohol percentage van 11,11%. Deze intens verleidelijke stout biedt alles wat je er in zoekt. Denk aan donkere chocolade, geroosterde koffie en subtiele tonen van karamel. Elke slok voelt als een warme omhelzing op een koude dag, een bier om eens goed voor te gaan zitten.

Sinds 2018 organiseert de Facebook-groep Beer Geeks de ‘Beer Geeks Beat ALS’ actie om zoveel mogelijk geld op te halen voor Stichting ALS. In al die jaren is er ruim 450.000 euro opgehaald. Een geweldige prestatie verwezenlijkt door de samenkomst van de gehele bierwereld. Dit is het bier van de 2024-2025 editie. Nog steeds nodig omdat de puzzel nog niet is opgelost, hoewel de puzzelstukjes van het onderzoek steeds meer in elkaar vallen. Wie weet zorgen we met dit bier voor een nieuw passend stukje in die complexe puzzel. Dit is een samenwerking van Beer Geeks Beat ALS met 89 Nederlandse brouwerijen. Our Imperial Stout Collab with Northern Monk Head Brewer and co-founder Brian Dickson. We will also be brewing this again later this year but this time we will distill and mature in an Oloroso cask to be released in 2030 as a single grain whisky by our Levenbank Distillery. We present LOCKER, the beer formerly known as PARKA, a beer where the malt shines. A deep and robust beer but with moderate levels of toast to keep the drink long... Chocolate, biscuit and raisins in the aroma, with a silky body and rounded bitterness thanks to the addition of single-hop and shelled chocolate malt. Only 4.5% alcohol, to pour pint after pint after pint... Also suitable for celiacs.

The flagship of the O’Hara’s brand, this uniquely Irish stout brings one back to how Irish stouts used to taste. First brewed in 1999, it has since been awarded prestigious honours for its quality and authenticity. O’Hara’s Irish Stout has a robust roast flavour complemented by a full-bodied and smooth mouth feel. The generous addition of Fuggle hops lends a tart bitterness to the dry espresso-like finish. Our brewer Scott worked with his old Abbeydale Brewery team to create this luxurious cranachan style porter. A rich dark beer made with lactose, smoked malts and lashings of Scottish raspberries for a real taste of Scottish culture. Layers of chocolate, coffee, raspberries and beech smoke all in the one beer.

This isn’t Uiltje’s first Galactic Empire rodeo. We’ve been brewing against conformity and oppression since 2012. This dark, thick, rich and chocolatey Imperial Stout is simply our latest battle cry for hop individuality and expression. Every sip is a galactic middle finger to tyrants, both real and imagined.

Æthelstan is a thick and well balanced Big Stout. We used peated whisky malts to give a little touch of whisky flavor. Togheter with the very extensive malt bill, Æthelstan has a complex flavor not a lot of other beers offer. Don't drink it too cold and enjoy is slowly. Cheers!

Gulpener IJsbock dankt zijn naam aan de brouwtechniek waarbij het brouwsel, na vergisting, wordt gekoeld tot -20 graden Celsius. Hierdoor bevriest een deel van het water en worden de alcohol en aroma componenten geconcentreerd. Met als resultaat een intens krachtig bier met een verrassend volle smaakbeleving, tonen van karamel en de typische bitterheid van onze eigen hop. Drink temperatuur 8-10 graden celcius.

FORMERLY KNOWN AS CUVÉE DU CHÂTEAU Kasteel Cuvée has a flavour similar to a ten-year old Kasteel Donker. Roasted and caramelised malts give the beer a soft, full taste with fruity notes reminiscent of port or madeira. The aftertaste is marked by a subtle hop bitterness. The flavour palette lends itself perfectly to food pairing with beer. Very tasty with game or cheese!

Our Barley Wine collab with Narragansett Brewery in the USA (famous for their lager brand used in the Jaws movie). Big bold flavours of cereal, caramel and toffee adorn this beautifully rounded Barley Wine. One for sipping, sharing or drinking anyway you please. This beer is part of our Loch Lomond / Levenbank project as we will also use the beer recipe minus the hops and distill the proceeds to mature for release in 2030 as a single grain whisky to be savoured alongside the original beer that will be brewed again nearer the time.

St-Feuillien Quadruple is a very dark and dense beer. She is noticeably alcoholic. She dis- tinguishes herself by a complex and finely caramelized aroma and with shades of Madeira wine and candied fruit and an intense touch of fermentation esters (banana type). A slight hoppy smell (English style) completes the whole. The mouth is long with a powerful body built on the density and generous apparent extract. The bitterness is present but sweet and blends harmoniously with the malty structure. The selection of special malts raises the chocolate side with the nuances of coconut. The saturation is average.

Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel, launched in 2010, is an intense beer, dark in colour and full in taste. The aroma is elegant, spicy and slightly roasted. The sophisticated blend of special kinds of malt give the beer a complex character, combining a delicate dryness with hints of coriander, dark fruits, anise and roasted chestnuts. The palate finishes in a syrupy taste. The refermentation in the bottle creates a living beer that will evolve over the years. Straffe Hendrik Quadrupel finds an excellent partner in chocolate when it comes to foodpairing.

Originally called "Spécial," Rochefort 8 dates to the mid-1950s. The name comes from the original gravity in "Belgian degrees." Deep brown color; the flavor is vigorous and complex, with firm body to support the strength. The aroma has elusive notes of fresh fruit, spice, leather, and figs. ABV 9.2 IBU 22

Named Cinq Cents in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, this beer, with its typical golden color, slightly hazy appearance and fine head, is especially characterized by its aroma which results from an agreeable combination of fresh hops and yeast. It was first brewed by the monks of Chimay at Scourmont Abbey in 1966. Above all it is the fruity notes of muscat and raisins that give this beer a particularly attractive aroma.

Brewed from very similar ingredients as the Première but paler and spiced with coriander. It was intended only to be consumed by the abbey monks or at the nearby inn Auberge de Poteaupré, which is associated with the abbey. The Dorée is now widely available to consumers and can is enjoyable as as a refreshing dessert beer, because it is lower in alcohol content than the rest of the Chimay family ales.

First sold in 75 cl (25.4 fl.oz.) bottles, it is noted for its copper color and as the first beer brewed by the monks of Chimay in 1862. Topped with a creamy head, it gives off a light, fruity apricot aroma produced by the fermentation. The taste perceived in the mouth is a balance confirming the fruity nuances noticed in the fragrance. Its taste, which imparts a silky sensation to the tongue, is made refreshing by a light touch of bitterness. To the palate, the taster perceives a pleasant astringency which complements the flavor qualities of this beer very harmoniously. This top-fermented Trappist beer, re fermented in the bottle, is not pasteurized.

Amber-coloured Trappist ale with a broken white head. A lovely combination of herbal, floral and fruity aromas. La Trappe Isid’or was first brewed in 2009 on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of The Koningshoeven Brewery. The harmonious taste starts off fruity and shifts to malty caramel. A perfectly balanced ale. The ale is named after Brother Isidorus, the abbey's first brewer. The aftertaste is pleasantly bitter.

A light-blond, organic, top-fermented Trappist ale with a sturdy collar. The aroma is characterised by the refreshing and fruity aromas of the yeast, combined with the flowery scent of citrus caused by the hops. Only organic ingredients were used when brewing this Skal-certified ale. The result is an accessible, refreshing and smooth Trappist ale with a pleasant bitterness and a mild, dry finish.

A characteristically Trappist ale with a warm amber colour and a cream-coloured head. The aroma is associated with clover and nuts, balanced by the sweet aromas of vanilla, raisins and banana. La Trappe Quadrupel is the heaviest of all the La Trappe Trappist ales and it is also the source for the name of this style. A full, heart-warming and intense taste. Malty with sweet tones of dates and caramel. The aftertaste is smooth and slightly bitter.

A golden blonde Trappist ale with a white head. Fruity aromas of peach and apricot combined with a floral aroma. La Trappe Tripel is a classic Trappist ale with a powerful and full flavour. In addition, this ale has a candy-sweet and light malty character. The aftertaste is bitter and slightly dry.

NOTE: The ABV-value of this beer varies, in the United States 6.9% is used. The Orval’s brewery produces only one beer to sell, a beer with a high fermentation that continues in the bottle. It is 6.2% ABV. This beer is brewed exclusively from spring water, barley malt, hop cones, candy sugar, and yeast. The aroma and the fine taste are due more to the hop cones and the yeast than to the malt that is used. What’s special about Orval’s beer is that hops are added at two different stages of the production process. First, in the brewing room, a large quantity of very fine hops are added – this produces the famous bitter taste and is the reason why the beer keeps for a longer period of time. Later, in the storage cellars, hops are once again added. This is the so-called British “dry hopping,” which produces the delightful aroma that completely enraptures even the most carefully forewarned taster. In the tasting room, Orval’s beer and cheese make a really good pair: the unique shape of the bottle and the glass, the design of the label, the coasters and other publicity materials – it’s all a legacy from the early 1930’s.

Zundert 10 Trappist is een quadrupel met een licht kruidige toets die onze bieren kenmerkt. Dit trappistenbier is diep roodbruin van kleur, met een mooie, licht beige, schuimkraag. De geur geeft hints van gedroogde zuidvruchten, zwoele kruiden, drop en een beetje chocolade. De smaak is vol en zacht, in balans gebracht door een mooie hopbitterheid. In de nasmaak keert de Zundertse kruidigheid subtiel terug.

Corsendonk Agnus Tripel is a spicy top-fermented blond beer, also refermented in the bottle and matured into a lively sparkling beer with a spicy bouquet and hopped aftertaste.

Fourchette was born of the culmination of the best of two worlds—the sophisticated, refined flavours of top chefs and the knowledge and passion of 6 generations of master brewers. Bon Secours Noël is a BLOND ALE with a light golden hue. It impresses with its traces of CITRUS FRUITS, such as grapefruit and orange, and tinges of spiciness resulting from the presence of coriander and a hint of pepper. The Magnum hop, which is added in whole-leaf form at the end of the boiling process, lends a slightly bitter, yet lasting, aftertaste.

12 Maanden lang rijpte de vries-gedestilleerde Wintervrund in de wijnvaten van St. Martinus. Het bier heeft mogen rijpen in de wijnvaten waar voorheen de Cabernet Cantor en Cabernet Cortis in gelagerd zijn. Door de complexiteit van vriesdestillatie, Wintervrund, de wijnen en houtlagering in de wijnvaten van St. Martinus is een rijk, temperamentvol bier ontstaan met zachte tonen van karamel.

Jopen Adriaan is a dark blonde beer with a very refreshing taste. Thanks to the combination of its freshness and a mellow, spicy aftertaste, Adriaan is an ideal thirst quencher. It is especially popular in summer for serving in outdoor cafés. With an alcohol content of 5% vol, Adriaan really goes down smoothly. The name Adriaan has been taken from the city mill, ‘Stadsmolen de Adriaan’, where the grain used to be milled for the brewers. The mill is a landmark in the centre of Haarlem. Part of this beer’s sales revenues are donated to the ‘Molen De Adriaan’ foundation. Gold at European Beer Star 2014, Europe’s Best Bronze, World Beer Awards 2013, Silver Award Belgian-Style witbier, European Beer Star 2013 and winner Gold medal, Dublin Craft Beer Cup, Craft Brewing and Distilling.

A full-bodied, Amsterdam wheat beer that is dangerously ‘moreish’. Slightly cloudy, it has a beautiful golden colour and a soft, foamy head. When we brew IJwit, we use wheat malt as well as barley malt, which is also how the beer gets its name. The wheat malt gives the beer a delightful, fresh flavour, and the addition of coriander and lemon during the brewing process produces a rich aroma of banana, citrus and spices. Topped off by a fine, slightly sweet aftertaste, IJwit is a delicious thirst-quencher.

Our golden-yellow wheat beer, with its fine-pored white foam, smells of cloves and impresses consumers with its refreshing banana flavour. It is full bodied and with a smooth yeast taste. To be enjoyed at any time (always a pleasure / enjoyment), goes excellently with fish and seafood, with spicy cheese and especially with the traditional Bavarian veal sausage. From the ruins of 2023’s session sour comes its imperial successor, a sour that pushes the Geiger counter firmly into the red. Charged with lemon, lime, kiwi, and apple, Wasteland delivers an intensely sour blast and an intense glowing green colour. This is not for the faint of tart, Vault Dwellers are an endangered species after all…

A crisp, refreshing sour with a light balance of juicy peach and sharp citrus from lemon juice and zest, finished with a subtle floral character. Crack the can and have a sip of Italian-style sunshine (made from an abundance of Scottish rainwater).

Rodenbach Alexander is a blend of 2/3rd aged Rodenbach (2 year matured beer from oak standing Foeders) and 1/3rd young ale, then macerated with sour cherries.

This smoothie sour is just A Lil’ Stoopid, by our standards at least… Still jam-packed with strawberry, blackberry, creamy coconut, and that signature thicc-ness, but with the Stoopidity dialled down a notch. A more sessionable smoothie sour, still dedicated to anyone who’s ever asked, “Why can’t beer just taste like beer?”

Les Bons Vœux means "best wishes", which is what Brasserie Dupont sends with this very special saison ale brewed for the holidays. Redolently aromatic, rich and velvety. Rich gold color, fragrant (lemony with hints of pepper, banana and clove), as all the beers of Dupont are with a full, deep malt richness that lingers on your tongue for what seems the whole holiday season. Considered by some the finest offering from this unparalleled Brewery. “The best Belgian beer, if ever there could be such an award...a sumptuous, seductive 9.5% beer. Duchesse de Bourgogne from Brouwerij Verhaeghe is the traditional Flemish red ale. This refreshing ale is matured in oak casks; smooth with a rich texture and interplay of passion fruit, and chocolate, and a long, dry and acidic finish. After the first and secondary fermentation, the beer goes for maturation into the oak barrels for 18 months. The final product is a blend of younger 8 months old beer with 18 months old beer. The average age of the Duchesse de Bourgogne before being bottled is 12 months.

Lambic is one of the world's oldest beers. According to some, it is also the best, even if its characteristic acidity does not please all palates. To offset this acidity, some decided to add sugar to it. Thus faro was born. Adding sugar syrup to lambic was a revelation at the time of Bruegel. (Some even argue that without faro, Bruegel would have been deprived of inspiration and would have remained an ordinary amateur painter whose canvases couldn't even have been sold at a flea market.) Until the 19th century, faro was very prevalent in the Brussels region. Folklore there was frequently associated with it, and the divine liquid flowed like water. Then faro fell into oblivion. It was not until 1978 that our family brought it back to centre stage. Or centre Senne, as you prefer. Particularly appreciated after physical exertion, faro is not only easy to drink, it is a joy to do so.

Our Sweet Shop series is back! We’ve brewed adult versions of old-school favourites, turning fizzy rainbow belts into a super-nostalgic sour beer that’s sweet and tangy. The Gueuze Cantillon, a real spontaneous fermentation beer, is entirely made up of Lambic. This Lambic is brewed with organically grown wheat (35%) and barley malt (65%), and with dried hops. Beer of spontaneous fermentation, the Gueuze Tilquin 60-40 is made from the blending of 60 % 1 year old and 40 % 2 years old lambics, matured in oak barrels. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, this beer is refermented in the bottle.

A hybrid of a Russian Imperial Stout and an Oud Bruin. Opposites attract. This sweet sour marriage combines the viscosity and robustness of a Russian Imperial Stout with the winy delicacy of our flemish red ale. Tasting this beer is like a Sovjet bombardment on your senses that throws you from Moscow to Modena and back, to find balanced somewhere in the middle. The aroma reveals chocolate, rains and Syrup de Liège, with a sense of port wine. The thick, sweet start creates the expectations of an antitussive that pampers the throat. The tantalizing sourness when you swallow, though, crushes that expectation immediately, so you have to start all over again. Comrades, unite and drink this oil of brotherhood!

4 Jaar hebben we op deze Lambiek moeten wachten, maar het was het wachten waard! Wauwie, wat een topper dit zeg! Vol zuur, nog hier en daar wat zachtheid omdat ie nog maar net op fles staat en een miniscuul bittertje door de gebruikte hop.

Oude Geuze Boon is a monument of taste with an alcohol content of 7%. It’s a magnificent blend of 90% mild 18 month-old lambic, 5% strong 3 year-old beer and 5% very young lambic, which provides fermentable sugars and wild yeasts. All our beers are aged in oak casks, mixed in a vessel of 25,000 litres and chilled. Before bottling, we bring the mix to fermentation temperature. The bottles are then placed in an air-conditioned room, which leads to a secondary fermentation in the bottle. This is when the lambic becomes gueuze. After several months of aging in the bottle, the gueuze develops its delicate flavour. Want to know the bottling date? Simply subtract 20 years from the “best before” date! Taste carefully and you will uncover a fruity grapefruit and ginger flavour with a hint of Muscat grapes. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the wholehearted body and the sublime finish – an explosion of Germanic and Romance cultures.

Our Sweet Shop series is back! Nostalgia comes in waves, alongside sweet-sour aromas and flavours of raspberry, blueberry, unmistakable bubblegum and zingy sherbet. This modern sour beer pours electric blue, just like your tongue after drinking it!

RODENBACH is the unique & original “Flanders Red Ale”, recognised as a traditional local product. Mixed main fermentation and maturation in oak casks (“foeders”) give it the same sweet-sour flavour and complex fruitiness as wine. RODENBACH consists of 3/4 young beer and 1/4 beer matured two years in oak. It's is highly refreshing and appetising: the perfect apéritif or session ale! Since 1821.

This is an aged Belgian red ale, which is ‘ripened quietly in oak barrels for two years’, according to the label. It has an extremely pungent aroma of rich grapey fruit, with acidic notes, very much like a slightly sour red wine or possibly a gueuze. In the mouth it is slightly sweet, extremely acidic and fruity, with grapes and even cherries discernible, and very lively. Despite the sweetness it is not at all cloying, even thin, with little or no trace of malt. Finish is sharp and fruity.

Imperial saison for people with the Flandrien spirit

Lambicus Faro is a historical Brussels beer. Candy sugar is delicately added to a traditional barrel-aged lambic, giving a sweeter note with apples aromas.

Originally called "Ouden Tripel", this ancient West Flanders Brown beer has found a new élan as a regional specialty under its current name: "VanderGhinste Roodbruin". The main ingredients of our Vanderghinste Oud Bruin are malted barley, wheat, hops, water, and caramelized malts. These are used to brew a top-fermented beer. Blending this beer with lambic beer aged in oak for 18 months results in this specific West Flanders Brown beer. Its typical flavour is characterized by a well-balanced, hardly noticeable sourness. This first flavour impression is soon followed by a second pleasant discovery: a slight bitterness followed by a hint of sweetness.

Sour braggot aged in Rum barrels for 40 months.

Traditional Duchesse de Bourgogne with Belgian cherries and chocolate essence added during the maturation process in oak casks (foeders). 20 kg of whole Belgian cherries are used in the production of each 100 liters of Chocolate Duchesse Cherry.

The appearance of this exceptional beer is matched only by its taste. Lindemans Framboise blends one-year-old lambic with delicious, ripe raspberries, providing a delicate fruity aroma, indulgent raspberry flavor and a beautiful dark pink colour.

Dark, heavy smoked beer For the creation of the Gulden Draak Smoked, we go back to the ancient tradition of malt drying: smoking malt. This resulted in a smoked touch of the malt which you afterwards also could find in the beer. This typical smoky taste was lost over the years because the malt drying techniques were made considerably more efficient. The use of smoked malt in combination with the specialty of Brewery Van Steenberge has a spectacular result: a heavy quality beer of high fermentation with a secondary fermentation in the bottle, baptized as Gulden Draak Smoked. Smoked Saison

Sprockets is the golden, pale, and flavorful version of German Bock beers. As a high-gravity lager, it offers a very clean fermentation profile that allows the malt to take center stage without distractions. We have brewed this beer on a selection of premium malts: Weyermann Barke Pils, Barke Munich, and Vienna. The result is a solid structure that stands out for its sweet grain aroma, with deep notes of honey, toasted bread crust, and an authentic rustic character. On the palate, it is pure silk, faithful to its aroma but with a floral finish that cleanses the palate for the next sip. A full-bodied, technical lager with that "kitsch" touch we love so much.

Appelras: Karmijn de Sonnaville

A total of 430 kilos of apples were pressed, yielding about 250 liters of fresh apple juice. This juice was fermented together with 250 liters of beer using a Saison yeast. During bottling, this cider-beer hybrid underwent a second fermentation with Brettanomyces bruxellensis, after which the beer matured in the bottle for more than four months. Expect the flavor profile to become increasingly wild and complex over time. Store this beer at cellar temperature, as this benefits the taste. Serve this beer at 8–10 °C.
